Help us build our first hut in Green Mountain National Forest!
That’s right, Vermont Huts Association is exploring viable sites in Green Mountain National Forest to host a year-round facility capable of serving various outdoor enthusiasts, including hikers, mountain bikers, backcountry skiers, snowshoers, and more! Imagine being able to stroll into a warm cabin after a long day of skiing powder. What would it be like to not have to carry all the extra weight that goes along with backcountry travel? Our hut will be equipped with a multi-burner propane cook stove and all the pots, pans, and utensils you’ll need to prepare yourself and your friends a gourmet meal – all you have to do is bring the food. Check out our Hut Design page for more details on what you can expect.
We’ll be announcing the exact location of our hut once a site has been confirmed, but in the mean time, please help us get the ball rolling by donating to our hut fund. Your contributions will ensure we have the resources on hand to get to work when the time comes. We expect to have a site identified by the end of 2017, with construction to begin in the spring/summer of 2018!
Your generous contributions will be used to help us pay for the design, build, site work, materials, professional labor, and permitting fees related to constructing our first hut.
