2022 Annual Report

by | Mar 28, 2023

As the sun begins to shine and the first signs of spring arrive, we start looking ahead to putting our skis away, tuning our bikes, and getting out the summer gear. Though we still have a ways to go before trails are snow-free and dry, it’s an exciting time of year. Summer reservations for huts are open now, and members get 15% off all bookings.

As important as it is to look ahead, we also value a look back to see the growth and successes of the past year alongside the lessons to be learned. We’re proud to present our first ever annual report, highlighting the 2022 calendar year and offer transparency into the organization and our impact on outdoor recreation in Vermont.

We’re thrilled to know that we’ve helped increase access to trails and huts last year by improving and building adaptable trail sections, offering free guided trips into the backcountry for underserved youth, and worked with VYCC to construct Grout Pond Hut in southern Vermont. We are excited to continue to work with our partners, members, volunteers, supporters, and guests to fulfill our mission to foster a deeper appreciation of our natural environment and strengthen Vermont’s communities by providing enriching and immersive outdoor experiences for all. Thank you for being a part of this exciting endeavor, and here’s to making this year the best one yet!
