2024 Annual Report

Shoulder season can be frustrating as we put our snow toys away and (im)patiently await dry summer trails. But we also appreciate that it’s the perfect time to reflect on the previous year’s accomplishments and challenges as we look ahead to future goals.

We’re proud to present our annual report, highlighting the 2024 calendar year and offering transparency into the organization and our impact on outdoor recreation in Vermont. It’s also our honor to reintroduce ourselves as Vermont Huts & Trails! Read more about the official name change along with upcoming projects in the attached report. 

We’re thrilled to know that we’ve helped increase access to trails and huts last year by opening the Heart of the Greens Velomont loop, offering free guided trips into the backcountry for underserved youth and hisotrically marginalized communities, and brought two new partner huts into the network. We are excited to continue to work with our partners, members, volunteers, supporters, and guests to fulfill our mission to foster a deeper appreciation of our natural environment and strengthen Vermont’s communities by providing enriching and immersive outdoor experiences for all.
