WOOHOO!
Not only does It fill us with joy and excitement to see progress on Grout Pond Hut (think of how many adventures there are to be had, stories to be told, and special moments to be shared), but we are also full of gratitude.
For this hut build- and many more to come- we’ve partnered with Vermont Youth Conservation Corps. VYCC is a nonprofit working to take action & build community by working and learning together with the land.
Their pro ‘build’ crew focuses on backcountry & state park construction and offers a “unique opportunity to establish a foundational skillset” in this specialized area. VYCC was established in 1985 and has been instrumental in offering workforce development, job training, and value-driven community.
