The reading nook / extra sleeping bench in our first hut, complete with mountain trim work.
We still have some work to do.
It’s nearly March, and that means we only have a few more months before our first hut moves from its current location at Yestermorrow Design/Build School to its final destination on Green Mountain National Forest. Once final approval is granted, we’ll load the hut onto two trailers and wheel it down the road. But before that happens, there are some loose ends that need to be tied up.
And so that is the focus of this month’s blog post. Do you have some building experience? Are you handy with a saw? Looking to earn some serious karma points? If so, we’d love to see you at one of our upcoming hut volunteer days! While many hands make light work, we’re looking for relatively skilled hands for these finishing touches. We have a mixed bag of tasks to complete – from basic carpentry to wiring some light fixtures to painting/staining some trim boards. Please take a quick minute to fill out our volunteer intake form below, and we’ll be in touch once we determine which day(s) make the most sense to get some work done!
For each volunteer day, we’ll plan to meet at 9 AM at the Yestermorrow Design/Build School located at 7865 Main Street, Waitsfield, VT 05673. Please bring your own lunch and your own tools. We’ll provide additional details over the next few weeks. Thanks!
